Sell Your Teardrop Caravan

Do you have a teardrop or squaredrop caravan you want to sell? Let TownOut handle everything. We market it, show it to buyers and close the sale. You set the price, we do the work.

How it works

Step 1 – Sign up. Fill in the form below or contact us. We agree on a reserve price (the minimum you will accept) and a listing price. You sign a consignment agreement and pay the upfront marketing fee of EUR 250 ex VAT.

Step 2 – Bring it or we collect it. Deliver your caravan to our lot in Rijen (Netherlands) or Votice (Czech Republic), or we collect it from you for EUR 1.50 per km round trip. Collection is available within approximately one hour from Rijen and 1.5 hours from Votice. Longer distances by agreement.

Step 3 – We do the rest. We photograph your caravan professionally, list it on our website and other platforms, handle all enquiries and viewings, and negotiate with buyers down to your reserve price. You do not need to be involved in any of that.

Step 4 – You get paid. When your caravan sells, we deduct our commission (12% of the sale price) and any outstanding fees. You receive the balance within seven working days.

What it costs

Upfront marketing fee: EUR 250 ex VAT. This is non-refundable and covers photography, listing and marketing costs. It is due when you sign the consignment agreement.

Collection fee: EUR 1.50 per km round trip ex VAT, if you want us to collect the caravan from you.

Commission: 12% of the final sale price ex VAT. Only payable when your caravan sells.

Lot rent: The first three months on our lot during the selling season (1 March to 1 November) are free. From month four onwards, lot rent is EUR 100 per month ex VAT.

Winter storage: If your caravan has not sold by 1 November and you want to keep it on our lot over winter, winter storage is EUR 500 per season, or part of season, ex VAT, subject to availability. If no winter storage space is available, you will need to collect your caravan by 1 November.

You are always in control

You set the reserve price upfront. We will never sell below that without your written approval. After the minimum three-month consignment period, you can withdraw your caravan at any time with 30 days written notice. Any outstanding fees are settled and return transport is arranged at EUR 1.50 per km round trip.

Important to know

Teardrop caravans on consignment are stored on our secure lot but are not insured by TownOut. The caravan remains at your risk while on our premises. We take reasonable care of all caravans on site, but we recommend you review your own insurance position before placing your caravan with us.

Your caravan must arrive clean and in the condition agreed at intake. Any repairs or cleaning required before we can list it will be discussed and agreed with you in writing before any work is carried out. These costs are for your account.
